About the Role

A supportive and ambitious primary school in Wendover is seeking a dedicated KS1 Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a temp-to-perm basis. This role will begin as a temporary placement with the opportunity to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging early learning experiences and supporting pupils as they develop the foundational literacy, numeracy, and social skills that shape their future learning.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum, ensuring all pupils are supported and challenged appropriately.

Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and confidence in learning.

Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.

Support pupils in developing key literacy, numeracy, and social skills during their early years of primary education.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to whole-school development.

Build positive relationships with parents and carers to support pupil progress and wellbeing.

Participate in staff meetings, school activities, and ongoing professional development.

Person Specification

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in KS1.

Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and effective early years teaching strategies.

Passion for supporting young learners in developing confidence and independence.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Reflective, proactive, and committed to continuous professional development.
