Lead Electrical Engineer – c£55k–£63k + 7.5% bonus, Hybrid, Bristol

As a Lead Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in leading a growing team, driving technical delivery, and ensuring high-quality, compliant, and cost-effective engineering solutions within a high-tech environment.


The role is hybrid, with time split between home and site in the Bristol area.


What we are looking for:


  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong background in product design and development
  • Experience leading or coordinating engineering teams/projects
  • Experience in regulated, compliance-driven environments
  • Knowledge of electrical safety standards and risk management


What you will be doing:


  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of Electrical Engineers
  • Own system/subsystem design, including risk and compliance
  • Collaborate across teams to resolve technical challenges
  • Ensure products meet standards, directives, and cost targets
  • Oversee testing, validation, and continuous improvement
