A fast-growing organisation within the biotech sector is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join their organisation. The organisation is a specialist leader in providing an understanding of the full healthcare cycle combining cutting edge science and technology to have a real and lasting impact on the future of healthcare to address some of the biggest health challenges.

About the role:

As Legal Counsel you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts. This will be a varied and interesting role with a primary focus on day-to-day commercial matters and scope over time to advise across the spectrum of legal matters applicable to a rapidly scaling business. It is an excellent opportunity for someone who is keen to lead on day-to-day legal matters.

About you:

• The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1 PQE, having trained either in a top UK law firm or in-house. English-qualified (or US-qualified) lawyer with at least one-year post-qualification experience (or equivalent US experience).
• Ideally you have experience of working in a commercial in-house environment. Previous experience gained within a life sciences, healthcare or technology business and / or a venture-backed scale-up would be highly advantageous.
• A team player that wants to be part of a collaborative business.
