Live‑In Carer – Exeter, Devon Salary: £140–£145 per day Food Allowance: £40 per week Rotation: 3 weeks on / 1 week off Start Date: 4 May Contract Type: Self‑employed Location: Exeter, Devon About the Role We are seeking a kind, reliable, and experienced female live‑in carer to support an independent lady living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in her own home in Exeter. This is a long‑term position for someone who is compassionate, patient, and confident in providing high‑quality, person‑centred care while promoting independence and dignity. Key Responsibilities * Providing daily personal care in a respectful and supportive manner * Assisting with mobility and transfers using a standing hoist * Supporting daily living activities while encouraging independence * Monitoring wellbeing and responding calmly and confidently to needs * Maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment Essential Skills & Experience * Proven experience supporting clients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) * Care certificates and relevant training * Manual handling and standing hoist experience (essential) * Up‑to‑date Moving & Handling certificate * Excellent understanding of person‑centred care * Ability to work independently and responsibly Personal Qualities * Kind, patient, and empathetic * Friendly, confident, and reliable * Respectful of dignity, privacy, and independence * Strong communication skills Requirements * Female carer (genuine occupational requirement) * Enhanced DBS and registered on the Update Service * Right to work in the UK * Up‑to‑date training certificates * Self‑employed status, including: * Your own liability insurance What We Offer * Competitive daily rate (£140–£145 per day) * £40 weekly food allowance * Clear rotation: 3 weeks on / 1 week off * Supportive and respectful working arrangement * A rewarding role making a genuine difference
