Maintenance Manager
Location: Desford
Hourly Rate: £40 per hour umbrella
Contract: 12 months (potential extension or permanent opportunity)
Start Date: January / February 2026
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, fully onsite
Working Hours:
Mon–Wed: 06:00–14:30
Thu: 06:00–14:00
Fri: 06:00–12:00
(Some flexibility available after handover)
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance function at a manufacturing site in Desford. This role offers the opportunity to join a facility that has recently received significant investment and is undergoing ongoing improvement and modernisation.
You will manage a team of approximately 30 people, including 4 direct-report Team Leaders, and work closely with cross-functional teams to support production while maintaining safety, quality, and cost standards.

Key Requirements
Strong leadership and people-management experience
Background in maintenance within a manufacturing environment
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean / CI)
Engineering qualification at Level 3 or equivalent preferred
