Summer Turn is a vital and exciting time at iQ Student Accommodation. As students move out, our teams spring into action to refresh and prepare our buildings for the next academic year. It's fast-paced, hands-on, and incredibly rewarding-perfect for those who thrive in a dynamic environment and love working as part of a team.
️ Role Summary:
We're looking for proactive individuals to support our maintenance operations. You'll help ensure our rooms and shared spaces meet the highest standards by carrying out essential repairs, assisting with logistics, and contributing to a smooth move-in experience for our summer guests and returning students.
Key Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with the team to deliver exceptional living
Communicate effectively with and colleagues to resolve issues
Assist with move-in day logistics and support
Help the Maintenance Technician with tasks like moving furniture and equipment
Carry out minor repairs and decoration (e.g. plumbing, painting, lighting)
Perform silicone sealing, mastic work, and surface repairs
Respond to health and safety matters promptly and appropriately
Follow safety procedures and report incidents to the Operations Manager
Attend a health and safety induction prior to starting-basic PPE provided

About You:
Knowledge & Qualifications:
Awareness of health & safety requirements
Willingness to learn and improve skills
Trade qualifications (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds) are desirable but not essentialExperience & Skills:
Experience in residential maintenance or general building trades (plumbing, carpentry, etc.)
Friendly and professional communication style
Team-oriented with a flexible, can-do attitude
Able to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
Smart appearance and commitment to high standards
