Maintenance Technician

Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the preventive maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of equipment, machinery, and facilities within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures that all production equipment operates safely and efficiently to minimize downtime and support overall production goals.
Key Responsibilities
Preventive Maintenance: Execute inspections, lubrication, and routine tasks according to established schedules and checklists.
Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose mechanical failures and electrical issues using schematics and technical manuals; implement corrective actions promptly.
Inspections: Conduct routine facility and machinery walkthroughs to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs.
Installation Support: Assist in the setup and commissioning of new equipment and provide technical support during upgrades.
Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of work orders, parts usage, and repairs within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Collaboration: Work alongside production operators and engineering teams to optimize processes and improve equipment reliability.
Safety Compliance: Strictly follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and company safety policies, including the use of required PPE.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational certification or apprenticeship in industrial maintenance is preferred.
Experience: Proven background as a maintenance technician or mechanic within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in mechanical systems, electrical circuits, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial controls.
Analytical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical drawings and perform root-cause analysis.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with supervisors and external vendors.
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
Comfort working in confined spaces, at elevated heights, or in varying weather conditions.
