The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate financial information, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and providing financial insights to assist in decision-making. The Management Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the financial health of the company by preparing management accounts, analysing financial data, and contributing to the overall strategic planning.RequirementsKey responsibilities:Management Accounts: Prepare and deliver accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statementsBudgeting & Forecasting: Support the budgeting and forecasting process, providing detailed financial analysis to inform business decisionsFinancial Analysis: Conduct variance analysis to compare actual results against budgets and forecasts, providing explanations for any discrepanciesReporting: Generate regular financial reports and present findings to senior management, providing insights to support strategic planningCost Control: Monitor and analyse costs, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvementsMonth-End Close: Assist with the month-end close process, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timelyCompliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial recordsSupport Audit: Assist in preparing for internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and responding to queriesBusiness Partnering: Assist the team and wider business in providing necessary drill down and commercial inputThe Ideal Candidate:Qualifications:ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA qualificationBachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (desirable)Experience:2+ years of experience in a management accounting roleExperience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecastingPrevious experience in a SaaS or technology-driven environment (advantageous)Skills and Behaviours:Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial dataStrong commercial acumen and ability to build strong relationships across the businessProficiency in accounting software and Microsoft ExcelExcellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reportingStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesEffective communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProactive and problem-solving mindset, with the initiative to drive continuous improvementBenefitsWhat's in it for you:Enhanced Stakeholder Pension Contribution25 days annual leaveHealth, Life Insurance + EAP Wellbeing SupportEligible for Annual Bonus SchemeLong Service AwardsClassPass MembershipEnhanced Family LeaveUp to £1,000 per year for personal development & trainingSeason Ticket LoanFlexible/hybrid Work EnvironmentCycle to Work SchemeFree Eye TestOur Team and CultureWe are a super friendly team that thrives on collaboration and supporting each other.
