Aqualla is seeking a full time, permanent Management Accountant to further develop financial reporting and insights to support business growth.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical accounting with meaningful analysis and insight. Role Purpose As Management Accountant, you will take ownership of the month-end process and be responsible for delivering accurate, timely financial information to support decision-making across the business. Youll work closely with the Head of Finance and wider teams to drive understanding of performance, costs, and profitability. Key Responsibilities Manage the month-end close process, ensuring the P&L is accurate each month and balance sheet reconciliations are completed Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts in line with agreed timeframes with clear commentary Prepare financial slides for monthly reporting packs, highlighting key trends Monthly oversight of both customer and supplier rebates Provide analysis and insights into financial performance to support decision-making Conduct margin analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities Build and maintain cost trackers, investigating and explaining variances Support the budgeting and forecasting processes Produce and manage cashflow forecasts, including support with foreign currency transfers and currency hedging Assist with Monthly business KPI reporting Prepare the year end accounts and act as lead for the annual external audit Review VAT returns for submission Quarterly calculation & payment of corporation tax and confirmation statement filings. Assist in the implementation and improvement of internal controls and processes Support the Head of Finance with ad hoc analysis and projects Values Based Competencies The Customer Comes First Provides accurate, timely, and relevant financial insight that supports stakeholders in making informed decisions and delivering strong business outcomes. Essential Criteria Qualified, or qualified by experience (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent) Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into meaningful insights Confident working with stakeholders across different functions Proactive, organised, and able to take ownership of key processes Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
