Manufacturing Technician Birmingham B15 / Shifts: Monday to Friday,08:00 - 16:30 Contract Type: Full-Time Hourly Rate: £12.65 per hour 3 month contract.\n \n We are recruiting on behalf of a respected client in the medical device industry who is seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Technician to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the production of high‑quality medical devices within a supportive and well‑structured environment.\n\nRole Overview\n\nAs a Manufacturing Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the manufacturing and testing of medical devices. You'll be responsible for maintaining equipment, following established procedures, and ensuring all work meets strict quality and regulatory standards.
Flexibility and teamwork are essential, as you may also support other areas to help the team meet production and delivery targets.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nAssist in the manufacturing and testing of medical devices\nPerform equipment maintenance and calibration\nComplete all records, worksheets, and documentation accurately\nUse the ERP system to track work and manage documents\nCommunicate progress and escalate issues promptly\nWork collaboratively with colleagues and support planning activities\nFollow all health and safety procedures\nEnsure all work complies with company standards and regulatory requirementsEducation & Experience\n\nEssential:\n\nGCSEs in Maths, English, and Science\nExperience working effectively within a team\nBasic computer literacy\nStrong communication and time‑management skillsDesirable:\n\nDegree in a relevant subject\nA Levels\nLaboratory experience\nKnowledge of Health & Safety and Quality SystemsPersonal Qualities\n\nOur client is looking for someone who is friendly, positive, punctual, organised, reliable, and self‑motivated.
