About the Role
Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Maths Teacher specialising in GCSE and A-Level to join one of our highly regarded secondary clients in Islington. This role focuses exclusively on KS4 and KS5, making it ideal for a teacher confident in delivering challenging mathematical concepts and preparing students for exam success.
You will be responsible for:
Teaching GCSE Maths and A-Level Maths to motivated learners. Planning and delivering engaging, exam-focused lessons. Preparing students for AQA/Edexcel examinations. Monitoring progress through assessments and feedback. Contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development. Inspiring students to pursue further study in maths, STEM, and beyond.
Qualifications & Experience Required
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject. Strong subject knowledge of the GCSE & A-Level Maths curriculum. Experience teaching KS4 & KS5 in a UK secondary setting. Ability to deliver lessons that stretch and challenge high-achieving students. A commitment to raising pupil achievement and progress.

Be an enthusiastic, passionate teacher of Maths. Demonstrate excellent communication and classroom management skills. Be confident teaching advanced mathematical concepts up to A-Level. Enjoy collaborating within a supportive maths department. Be reflective, resilient, and committed to continuous improvement.
