Job Description
Quantity Surveyor | M&E Contractor | London
We’re partnered with a leading M&E contractor delivering complex building services packages across data centre, commercial and specialist technical environments.
Operating as a principal M&E contractor (not a subcontract bolt-on), they’re known for engineering-led delivery, strong pre-construction capability and long-standing relationships with Tier 1 General Contractors and End Clients.
With a healthy secured pipeline and repeat business forming the majority of turnover, they’re continuing to grow their London-based commercial team.
You’ll be responsible for:
Managing the full commercial lifecycle from procurement through to final account. Preparing cost plans, commercial reports and financial forecasts. Subcontractor procurement, negotiation and account management. Leading variations, valuations, change control and commercial risk mitigation. Monitoring project costs, cashflow and financial performance. Supporting commercial strategy and reporting to senior leadership.
Projects you’ll be involved in:
Datacentre projects with advanced MEP requirements. High-spec commercial fit-outs and refurbishments across central London. Complex mixed-use developments where coordinated MEP delivery is critical.
We’re looking for:
5+ Years experience as a QS within an M&E / building services contractor. Experience preparing commercial reports, cost plans and valuations. Excellent negotiation, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills. Structured, detail-driven and confident working across project teams.
