Our client is a well-established, regional multi-disciplinary main contractor delivering a diverse portfolio of projects across the commercial, residential, education, healthcare, and light industrial sectors. With project values typically ranging from £5m to £50m, the business is known for its strong delivery capability, collaborative approach, and long-standing client relationships across the North of England.

Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Leeds.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the commercial and financial aspects of mechanical and electrical packages across multiple live projects, ensuring robust cost control, accurate forecasting, and effective subcontractor management. Working closely with project managers, site teams, and supply chain partners, the M&E Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in driving commercial performance and ensuring value is delivered across all MEP elements.

The successful candidate will work closely with commercial managers and operational teams to ensure all M&E packages are commercially managed in line with contract requirements and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the commercial and financial performance of M&E packages across multiple projects in the £5m£50m range
Prepare, review, and manage subcontractor procurement, tender analysis, and contract awards
Oversee valuations, variations, and final accounts for mechanical and electrical works
Work closely with project teams to ensure accurate cost reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management
Administer contracts in accordance with relevant standard forms and company procedures
Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities across M&E packages
Liaise with subcontractors to agree variations, payments, and final accounts in a timely manner
Support project managers in commercial decision-making xbpsjku and value engineering initiatives
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and maintain accurate commercial records
Attend site and client meetings, providing clear commercial reporting and updates
Contribute to supply chain development and maintain strong subcontractor relationships
Support continuous improvement in commercial processes and cost management practices
