Job Description
Locations: Birmingham, Bristol or Cardiff (Hybrid Working)\n\nSalary: £50,000 - £65,000 + Annual Bonus\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nWe are seeking Senior Mechanical Engineers to join our Energy, Water and Resources portfolio, supporting the delivery of high-impact projects that benefit society, industry and the environment.\n\nYou'll work as part of multidisciplinary teams on a diverse range of schemes, including:\n\nWater and wastewater treatment and supply\nDams, reservoirs and flood risk infrastructure\nRenewable energy and low-carbon systems\nHydrogen production and energy storage\nIndustrial process and complex pipework systems \n\nYou'll be encouraged to develop specialist skills in the areas that genuinely interest you, shaping a career path aligned with your passions and strengths.\n\nIs this role right for you?\n\nWe're looking for experienced Mechanical Engineers with a strong background in the water sector, operating at a senior level with 5+ years' industry experience.\n\nKey skills and experience include:\n\nProven experience delivering mechanical design within water, energy or industrial environments\nStrong understanding of mechanical equipment selection and application\nExperience across feasibility and detailed design, particularly in water and energy systems\nSolid knowledge of piping design standards, safety systems and industrial pipework\nCompetence in relevant design tools and software (e.g. BIM, Plant 3D, AutoPIPE or similar)\nExperience in utility infrastructure (e.g. gas networks) is beneficial\nChartered status (or working towards) through IMechE or a relevant professional body \n\nWhat we offer you\n\nWe care deeply about our people and their success - because when our members thrive, we all grow together.\n\nYou'll benefit from:\n\nCompetitive, fair and equitable salary with an annual bonus scheme\nProfit Share, enabling you to share in our collective success\nHybrid and flexible working arrangements\nPrivate medical insurance, life assurance, accident insurance and income protection\nFlexible benefits to support your health, wellbeing and lifestyle\nExtensive learning, development and career progression opportunities \n\nAs a trust-owned organisation, we have the freedom to choose work that aligns with our values, our purpose and the legacy we want to create - for our people, our clients and our communities
