Job Description

Mechanical Design Engineer\n Location: Leicester, UK (international travel required)\n\nWe are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This role offers exposure to full-cycle machinery design, research and development, and international customer interaction. Graduates through to senior engineers are encouraged to apply.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLead top-level design of machinery to meet customer specifications\n\nProduce detailed and assembly drawings\n\nSupport R&D activities and generate design calculations\n\nCollaborate with controls and software engineers\n\nProvide technical support to the sales team, including customer visits in the UK and overseas\n\nWork closely with purchasing and production teams to meet budgets and schedules\n\nLiaise with suppliers and contribute to specification writing, manuals, BOMs and CE/Health & Safety documentation\n\nEnsure engineering quality standards are maintained\n\nProject management experience beneficial\n\nExperience and Qualifications\n\nDegree in Mechanical Engineering (BSc/BEng/MSc) or equivalent experience\n\nProficient in 3D CAD, ideally SolidWorks\n\nBroad engineering background in special-purpose or bespoke machinery\n\nExperience with MRP systems \n\nPackage\n\nSalary: £30,000 (junior) to £65,000 (senior)\n\nHours: 37.5 per week, 9am-5pm\n\nPension scheme included\n\n25 days holiday plus bank holidays\n\nTraining and career progression available\n\nIf youre interested in this role please send your CV to kathryn.van- for a confidential conversation regarding the role
