1st Step Solutions are supporting one of our clients who have an opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team based in London.\n\nOur client is a multi-disciplinary consultancy of 65-70 professionals, specialising in MEP services and building consultancy. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to grow within a supportive team.\n\nThe Role\nThis is a varied role combining high-quality mechanical design work with hands-on site involvement. In addition to design responsibilities, you will regularly attend site to survey plantrooms, contribute to CAPEX planning, and produce project estimate schedules.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n* Mechanical design across a range of building services projects\n* Surveying plantrooms and existing installations\n* Supporting CAPEX planning and project scoping\n* Preparing cost estimates and project schedules\n* Collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders\n\nAbout You\n* Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline\n* Proven experience in mechanical design (building services/environment )\n* Comfortable carrying out site surveys and working independently\n* Based in, or able to commute within, Greater London\n* Organised, practical, and commercially aware\n\nPackage\n* Competitive salary \n* Relaxed, friendly working environment\n* Hybrid working / work-from-home policy\n* Good benefits and perks\n* Excellent CPD and professional development opportunities
