This hands-on role involves assembling complex scientific and cryogenic systems while ensuring high standards of quality and precision.Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble complex cryogenic systems and mechanical assemblies to technical drawingsTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the assembly processCarry out helium leak testing of systems and componentsPerform quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet specificationsConduct soldering, cleaning, polishing and preparation of componentsAssist with product improvements and communicate modifications to the design teamSupport production documentation and QA work instructionsOccasionally operate manual workshop machinery such as lathes and millsMaintain a safe, clean and organised workshop environmentRequirementsEngineering NVQ or equivalent experiencePrevious experience assembling scientific or precision equipmentAbility to read and interpret technical drawingsExperience working to tight tolerances and critical dimensionsWelding, soldering or fabrication experience advantageousFlexible approach to working hours during busy production periodsThis is a great opportunity to join an innovative engineering business working on highly specialised equipment in a collaborative production environment.JBRP1_UKTJ
