Mpeople are excited to be recruiting for Fitter / Assembler for our client who are a manufacturing company based in Oldham.

This is a great opportunity to join a well-established business with a lot of long standing staff.

Salary: £32,000

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday – 8am – 4:30pm

Friday – 8am – 3:15pm

Free onsite parking

Our client is seeking an experienced Fitter / Assembler who is hard working and committed and has the ability to read engineering drawings.

Responsibilities:

* Studying and interpreting technical documents, such as blueprints, schematics and diagrams required to complete tasks.

* Reading and confirming the parts list, interpret measurements and verify specifications.

* Determining availability of materials and tools.

* Assembling components and ensuring that all parts are fitted correctly.

* Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and performing repairs.

* Performing preventive maintenance and reporting and resolving assembly line issues.

* Keeping the workspace clean.

* Adhering to health and safety requirements of the company and the industry.

* Conserving resources and supplies to facilitate minimum waste

Experience:

* You must be able to read engineering drawings

* Mechanical fitter

* Assembly experience

* Understanding of Health & Safety
