Our client, who is a trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence, is collaborating with Guidant Global to find a skilled Mechanical Fitter - Night Shift in Bolton with significant experience in mechanical fitting for carrying out manufacturing and testing tasks within the mechanical department.As a Mechanical Fitter, you will operate according to established product certification procedures, workmanship standards, allocated budgets, and timelines to achieve project goals.Key Responsibilities:Certify the product in line with the product certification procedure and maintain product certification and approval via regular audits.Be fully conversant with all equipment, tools and measuring instruments associated with the manufacturing cycle.Ensure manufacturing build times are met.Check and complete all paperwork associated with the manufacturing data pack.Maintain the highest-level workmanship standards and product quality.Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process.Team player who can demonstrate customer focus and communicate best practices to other team members.Proven planning and organising skills and be flexible and adaptable.What do you need?:Electrical/Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Apprenticeship (Advanced Level or L3 StandardorElectrical/Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 academic qualification (ONC, diploma, etc.)andElectrical/Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 vocational qualification (NVQ) *Not required if a L3 apprenticeship standard has been achieved(These qualifications must meet the standard to be considered for the role).Additional Skills:Manual handling training.Lifting & Slinging (Including overhead cranes) and ESD training.Completion of Apprenticeship requiredWhat happens now?Upon submission of your application, should it meet our selection criteria, you will be contacted via e-mail by one of our talent acquisition specialists to arrange a screening call.
