Position: Mechanical Technician Location: Witney, Oxfordshire Job Type: Permanent / OnsiteSalary: £34000 per annumWorking hours: 8:00 to 04:30 Monday to Thursday and 8:00 am to 1:00 on FridaysBenefits: private healthcare, 23 + 8 bank holidays, pension, free car park.My client, a specialist manufacturing business are on the hunt for an experienced Mechanical Technician to join their engineering assembly team in Witney.Role and Responsibilities – Mechanical Technician In this role, you will be assembling complex components and products for the scientific industry in line with tight tolerances and customer demand.Other responsibilities include: Perform precision mechanical assembly of bespoke products.Must be able to use measuring tools such as verniers, callipers and micrometresTroubleshooting – identifying, documenting, resolving and reporting technical issues during the assembly processActively work with the D.O. to improve products and increase efficiency of assembly processes.Quality control and inspection – Conducting visual inspections to ensure products meet quality and specifications throughout the assembly process Experience or Qualifications – Mechanical Technician NVQ or HNC Qualified in Engineering fieldPrevious experience in assembly ideally within a scientific environmentExperience working to tight tolerancesWelding, Soldering and Fabrication experience (desirable) Benefits – Mechanical Technician 25 Days + Bank HolidaysPrivate Health Care OptionsEarly Finish FridaysOvertime Available Candidates who currently are a Mechanical Engineering Technician, Assembly Technician, Engineering Technician or Mechanical Assembler may be suitable for this position.If you think this role might be of an interest, please contact Marta Kosno 01453 852 542 and forward your CV to Omega is an employment agency specialising in opportunities at all levels within the Engineering, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Automotive, Electronics, Defence, Scientific, Energy & Renewables and Tech sectors.
