Contract Type: 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract (with strong potential to transition to permanent)


About the Role

My client is a mid-sized, global pharmaceutical company that is looking for a Medical Advisor to join their Medical Affairs team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing organisation with an innovative portfolio, supporting both scientific excellence and strategic business objectives.


This role sits within Medical Affairs but requires a strong commercial mindset, with the ability to align medical strategy to broader organisational goals while maintaining the highest standards of scientific integrity.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality scientific and medical support for assigned rare disease products and pipeline assets
  • Develop and execute local medical affairs plans in alignment with global strategy
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and thought leaders
  • Deliver scientific exchange and education, including presentations and training for internal and external audiences
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, market access, and regulatory teams to ensure aligned strategy and execution
  • Provide medical input into brand strategy, ensuring a patient-centric and evidence-based approach
  • Support evidence generation activities, including real-world evidence and investigator-initiated studies
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with relevant codes of practice and regulations


Candidate Profile

  • Advanced scientific or medical degree preferred (e.g., PhD, PharmD, MD)
  • Previous experience in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
  • Experience in rare diseases or specialty care is highly desirable (but not essential)
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, with an understanding of commercial drivers and business strategy
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific data into clear insights
  • Proactive, agile, and collaborative mindset
  • High level of integrity and commitment to compliance
