NVQ Manager

We are looking for an experienced NVQ quality leader to take ownership of our Construction and Health & Safety provision, ensuring programmes meet the highest standards of quality, compliance and learner outcomes.

This is a strategic leadership role, responsible for overseeing Internal Quality Assurance, managing assessor performance, maintaining awarding body compliance and driving achievement across the full learner journey.
You will play a critical role in ensuring the provision delivers excellent audit outcomes, strong achievement rates and sustainable commercial growth.
What You'll Be Responsible For:
- Leading the quality and compliance of NVQ delivery across Construction and Health & Safety programmes
- Acting as the key contact for awarding organisations such as City & Guilds, NCFE, NOCN and ProQual
- Designing and implementing a robust IQA strategy including risk-based sampling and standardisation
- Leading External Quality Assurance (EQA) visits and maintaining full audit readiness
- Managing and developing a team of assessors and IQAs
- Driving improvements in learner progress, retention and timely achievement
- Monitoring delivery performance and producing data-led improvement plans
- Supporting curriculum development and commercial expansion
What We're Looking For:
We're looking for someone who understands how high-quality NVQ provision should operate and has experience ensuring delivery stands up to awarding body scrutiny.
Essential
- Level 3 Assessor qualification (A1 / D32/33 or equivalent)
- Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance qualification (V1 or equivalent)
- Occupational competence in Construction or Health & Safety
- Experience managing vocational delivery teams
- Experience leading awarding body audits and EQA visits
- Strong understanding of IQA systems, sampling and assessment quality
Desirable
- Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training
- Experience delivering both commercial and funded provision
- Experience managing large employer contracts
