Job Description

Company Description

Kula provides stylish, flexible-term apartments and hotel lofts tailored to young professionals, relocators, and business travelers seeking more than standard accommodations. With a presence in some of the world’s most vibrant cities, Kula is redefining the hospitality industry through an innovative service approach. By combining curated experiences and premium comfort, we aim to deliver a seamless and elevated living experience. Our mission is to cater to modern lifestyles, offering spaces that inspire and feel like home away from home.

The Role

As an Operations Specialist, you are the bridge between our guests, our properties, and our back-office teams. You will ensure that every apartment reflects our brand standards and that every guest feels at home from the moment they arrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Property Inspections: Conduct regular walkthroughs to ensure apartments meet strict quality, safety, and aesthetic standards.
  • Guest Relations: Act as the face of the company. Meet and greet guests for check-ins/check-outs and remain their point of contact for on-site needs.
  • Housekeeping Coordination: Work closely with the cleaning teams to ensure quick turnovers and impeccable cleanliness.
  • Maintenance Oversight: Identify and report maintenance issues, coordinating with vendors to ensure repairs are handled swiftly.
  • Team Collaboration: Liaise with the Reservations Team to stay updated on guest requirements and special requests.
  • Brand Standards: Ensure all amenities (linens, welcome kits, toiletries) are stocked and presented according to company protocol.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone proactive, communicative, and technically savvy.

  • Experience: Previous experience in hospitality, property management, or short-term rentals is a significant plus.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills; you should be comfortable de-escalating guest issues with grace.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using property management software (PMS), communication apps, and basic smart-home technology.
  • Attention to Detail: An "eagle eye" for cleanliness and decor, you notice the light-bulb that’s out or the pillow that’s crooked.
  • Problem-Solving: The ability to think on your feet when a guest has a request or a maintenance issue arises unexpectedly.
  • Flexibility: Availability to work on a schedule that includes weekends and holidays (when guests travel most).
  • Mobility: Ability to move between properties efficiently throughout the workday.
