Job Description

Manpower are currently seeking a Operations Manager to work with our global FMCG client Unilever, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple, and become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.

The position is based in Seacroft, Leeds. This is a full-time ongoing role, requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation for this role is competitive, paying up to £35,100 per annum, depending upon experience.


The Operations Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining a close relationship with key client contacts to ensure delivery of SLA’s and achievement of all contractual KPI’s.

They will have task management responsibility for the delivery team across the relevant areas, supported by on-site operational team and proactively identify service delivery performance issues & provide solutions.


The successful applicant will ensure a professional relationship is maintained with the client and that best practice is followed under all circumstances as well as managing changes to services, policies, procedures, and resources to satisfy legislation and to positively and flexibly meet business requirements.


Core Responsibilities:

Customer Relations & Service Delivery

  • Develop and foster close customer relationships
  • Interaction with all clients functional mangers
  • Deputy interface with client senior management
  • Provide strategic and tactical support to clients
  • Client service improvement initiatives
  • Achievement of all Contract SLA’s


Line Management & Internal Reporting

  • Overall management of the SOW delivery team
  • Conduct monthly reviews for direct reports
  • Conduct annual appraisals for direct reports
  • Support and provide guidance as required
  • Development and Coaching of own team
  • Providing proactive solutions to ‘people’ issues
  • Report into Contract Manager on escalated issues
  • Deputy interface with Manpower senior management


Management Information

  • Produce weekly / monthly reports within timelines
  • Produce additional MI / reports as requested
  • Provide statistical analysis of service deliverables as requested


Policies & Procedures

  • Full understanding of, and compliance with, all related Employment Legislation, HR policies and procedures. Ensure all policies and procedures are kept up to date.


KEY MEASURES:

  • Achievement of agreed SLA’s and KPIs
  • Strength of client relationship
  • Activity targets including meetings with the client and achievement of agreed SLA’s


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Essential

  • People Management skills, with previous experience of leading and managing a team
  • Excellent inter
  • personal skills
  • Self-managing, detail conscious and tenacious
  • Innovative, able to plan effectively with the drive to translate plans into actions
  • Maintain & produce accurate MI as required.

Desirable

  • Working knowledge of Excel workbooks and spreadsheets
  • Scientific qualification at degree level or experience working within a scientific environment
  • Knowledge of Research & Development functions
