The business is committed to innovation, compliance, and operational excellence, and this role forms a key part of the senior leadership team.Role OverviewWe are seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of a busy warehouse and distribution facility. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient operations across goods-in, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch, while maintaining high standards of health & safety, stock accuracy, and site security.Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse OperationsManage daily warehouse activities including goods-in, storage, picking, packing, and dispatchEnsure accurate and timely order fulfilment to meet customer expectationsOptimise warehouse layout and processes to improve efficiency and space utilisationStock ControlMaintain accurate stock levels through cycle counts and stocktakesInvestigate and resolve discrepanciesDrive continuous improvement in stock management processesHealth & SafetyEnsure full compliance with H&S legislation and company policiesConduct risk assessments, audits, and site inspectionsPromote a strong safety culture across the teamSite SecurityAct as key holder, responsible for opening and closing the siteEnsure security of premises, stock, and company assetsRespond to alarm callouts where requiredTeam LeadershipSupervise, motivate, and develop warehouse staffProvide training, guidance, and performance managementSupport recruitment and onboarding of new team membersCompliance & Continuous ImprovementSupport and maintain ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001)Ensure compliance with relevant UK healthcare standardsContribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational best practiceRequirementsProven experience in warehouse or operations managementStrong understanding of warehouse processes, logistics, and stock controlKnowledge of Health & Safety regulationsExcellent leadership, organisational, and communication skillsIT literate with experience using ERP or warehouse systemsMust live within 30 minutes of Tunbridge Wells (key holder requirement)DesirableExperience within a regulated industry (e.g., medical devices, healthcare, pharmaceuticals)Familiarity with ISO standardsFirst Aid or Fire Marshal certificationDegree or equivalent qualificationOperate forklift trucks safely and efficientlyStreamline Search is a technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the United Kingdom.
