We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Orthodontist to join our reputable dental practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, preventing, and treating dental and facial irregularities, ensuring patients achieve optimal oral health and aesthetic results. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive examinations of patients’ teeth, jaws, and facial structures to assess orthodontic needs.
- Develop personalised treatment plans incorporating the latest orthodontic techniques, including the utilisation of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) systems.
- Design and implement customised orthodontic appliances such as braces, aligners, and retainers.
- Utilise medical imaging tools to diagnose and monitor treatment progress accurately.
- Monitor patient progress throughout treatment, making adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices related to orthodontic appliances and overall dental health.
- Collaborate with general dentists and other specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain detailed records of patient treatments in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Stay informed about advancements in orthodontic technology and techniques through continuous professional development.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified Orthodontist with recognised certification or registration within the UK.
- Proven experience in designing and applying orthodontic appliances using CAD technology.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, particularly relating to facial bones and dental structures.
- Proficiency in interpreting medical imaging such as X-rays, 3D scans, and other diagnostic tools.
- Prior experience working with digital design software for orthodontic appliance creation is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly to patients of all ages.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to best practice standards within orthodontics.
