The Role

As Panel Sales Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Panel Sales Team, ensuring sales and margin targets are consistently achieved.

You will play a key role in driving proactive sales activity, strengthening customer relationships, optimising stock profiles, and identifying new commercial opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

Lead, coach and motivate the Panel Sales Team to achieve individual and team targets

Create a positive, collaborative and high-performing culture

Support ongoing development through training, mentoring and performance management

Monitor performance and implement improvement plans where needed

Sales & Margin Performance

Deliver daily sales and margin targets

Drive proactive, opportunity-led selling

Develop and implement strategies to increase sales growth and profitability

Ensure strong commercial focus across all activities

Customer Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships

Support the team in delivering outstanding customer service

Identify opportunities to increase account value and strengthen customer loyalty

Work closely with customers to understand their needs and provide effective solutions

Stock & Product Management

Manage stock profiles in line with customer demand and commercial objectives

Collaborate with internal teams to align stock levels with sales plans

Identify opportunities for range improvement and stock optimisation

Support product focus and commercial planning across panel categories

Data & Market Insight

Analyse sales data to identify trends, risks and growth opportunities

Monitor competitor activity and market conditions

Use insights and intelligence to inform planning and improve performance

Provide recommendations to enhance team and branch results

About You

Essential Experience

Previous experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar leadership role

Proven track record of managing and developing a sales team

Strong history of achieving sales and margin targets

Experience using sales data and performance metrics to drive improvement
