Paraplanner Salary: £40,000 – £60,000

The Opportunity As a Paraplanner, you’ll prepare detailed suitability reports, conduct product and investment research, and ensure every recommendation is accurate, compliant, and client‑centric. You will be a key quality controller in the advice process and should feel confident challenging advisers where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities • Collaborate with IFAs to understand client objectives and build tailored financial strategies. • Conduct research on pensions, investments, protection products, and tax planning. • Prepare detailed cashflow forecasts for client meetings. • Draft comprehensive and compliant suitability reports. • Liaise with product providers for valuations, illustrations, and technical data. • Ensure client documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant. • Assist in preparing agendas, documentation, and follow‑up actions for meetings. • Maintain audit trails and support compliance requirements. • Stay up to date with legislation, market developments, and new products. • Support marketing efforts and broader business development. • Champion safe and productive use of technology, including AI. • Provide general administrative support.
Critical Skills Required • Excellent Microsoft Office skills. • Experience with Intelligent Office, Fintegrate, Defaqto. • Strong telephone manner and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively. • Excellent organisation, accuracy, and attention to detail. • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively. • Flexible and proactive approach. • Strong decision‑making and initiative.
Critical Knowledge Required • Strong business understanding. • In‑depth knowledge of financial planning and financial services
