Purpose of the Role
As a Paraplanner, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our Independent Financial Advisers by preparing detailed financial reports, conducting product and investment research, and ensuring all recommendations are compliant and tailored to client needs. You will be the analytical backbone of the advice process, helping deliver high-quality, client-centric financial planning. You will act as a quality controller and should feel comfortable challenging advisers if you feel a more appropriate solution is available for a client.
Key Responsibilities
* Adviser Collaboration: Work closely with IFAs to understand client objectives and develop appropriate financial strategies.
* Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on pensions, investments, protection products, and tax planning solutions.
* Cashflow Forecasting: Preparing cashflow forecasts to be used in meetings with clients.
* Suitability Reports: Draft comprehensive suitability reports and financial planning recommendations in line with FCA regulations.
* Provider Liaison: Communicate with product providers to gather illustrations, valuations, and technical data.
* Client File Preparation: Ensure all client documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with internal and regulatory standards. This will include ensuring all new business documentation is completed.
* Meeting Preparation: Help prepare agendas, documentation, and follow-up actions for client meetings.
* Compliance Support: Assist in maintaining audit trails and ensuring all advice meets regulatory and internal compliance standards.
* Continuous Development: Stay up to date with financial legislation, market trends, and product developments.
* General Administrative Support: Providing administrative support as and when required.

Support and champion the advancement of technologies within the business in particular the use of AI in a safe and productive way.

Critical Skills Required
*
Fully computer literate including excellent Microsoft Office skills
*
Understanding of in-house systems such as Intelligent Office, Fintegrate, Defaqto
*
Excellent telephone manner with good interpersonal and communication skills
*
Ability to work alone and communicate well with others
*
Ability to work under pressure and prioritise work effective and efficiently
