Planning Engineer

Location: Weymouth Salary: £45,000 p/a Hours: Full‑time, Permanent Shift: 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7:30am – 4:30pm and Friday 7:30am – 12:30pm

The Role

* Optimal Planning of parts: NPI & Re-engineering.

* Compile technical Manufacturing Instructions (route cards).

* Allocate set and run times to methods.

* Advise purchasing department of tooling required (material & gauging).

* Estimate run times by making the necessary calculations based on material and cutting data.

* Prove new working methods either independently or with other team members.

* Make process amendments and improvements when necessary.

* Arbiter on Product compliance.

* Liaise with Customer on any Engineering queries.

* Create process sketches (Catia).

* Contract reviews.

* Support APQP / PPAP process and create necessary documents.

* Support export activity and compliance.

* Support Quality department with NCR’s and continuous improvement.
