The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced Senior Account Director to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role will lead a portfolio of client accounts, providing strategic direction, senior client counsel and strong team leadership to deliver high-impact PR and influencer campaigns. You will play a key role in shaping client strategy, driving media results, mentoring team members and contributing to new business opportunities across the agency. About You
Significant experience in PR and communications, ideally within a communications agency. Proven ability to lead client accounts and deliver successful PR campaigns. Strong media and influencer network. Excellent writing, editing and presentation skills. Confident client manager with strong commercial awareness. A collaborative leader who enjoys mentoring and developing teams.
Responsibilities
Lead senior relationships across a portfolio of clients, acting as a trusted strategic advisor. Oversee the delivery of PR and influencer campaigns, ensuring objectives and KPIs are met. Provide clear strategic direction to account teams and ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard. Review and approve client-facing materials including reports, presentations and press materials. Manage client issues confidently and act as a senior escalation point when required.
Press & Influencer Relations
Maintain and grow strong relationships with top-tier media and influencer contacts. Secure high-impact press coverage and identify creative campaign opportunities. Develop compelling press materials, pitches and strategic campaign ideas. Monitor industry trends and lead brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas for clients. Ensure award opportunities and key deadlines are identified and delivered. Provide leadership, mentoring and guidance to junior and mid-level team members. Support the development and performance of the account team, helping to build skills and confidence. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment while ensuring high standards of delivery. Work closely with senior leadership to review performance, share updates and identify opportunities. 24 days holiday plus UK bank holidays, plus Christmas office shutdown and one additional day's holiday entitlement per year served, capped at five days 10% commission on any fees introduced to the company Team events including a summer and Christmas social Monthly team drinks and lunches Access to an EAP which offers free counselling sessions
