Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Primary Early Career Teacher (ECT) for a full-time, long-term position in Hillingdon starting January 2026.\n\nAbout the role\n\nAs a Primary ECT, you will take responsibility for planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum, with appropriate support and guidance from experienced colleagues. You will work to create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom where pupils feel supported and motivated to learn. This long-term role offers consistency and the chance to become an established member of the school team.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPlanning and delivering high-quality lessons across the primary curriculum\n\nAssessing, monitoring, and tracking pupil progress\n\nCreating a positive and inclusive learning environment\n\nManaging classroom behaviour effectively and consistently\n\nWorking collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents\n\nEngaging fully in professional development and ECT support programmes\n\nAbout the school\n\nThe school is a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Hillingdon area, with a strong focus on pupil wellbeing and staff development.

The leadership team is experienced and supportive, providing mentoring and guidance to help early career teachers build confidence and progress professionally.\n\nRequirements\n\nTo be considered for the role of Primary ECT you will:\n\nQualified Teacher Status (QTS) or on track to achieve QTS\nA positive, enthusiastic, and reflective approach to teaching\nStrong communication and organisational skills\nCommitment to a full-time, long-term role from January 2026\nSalary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
