Teaching Assistant - Primary School

Contract: Full Time, Monday-Friday

A friendly and inclusive Primary School in Blackley is looking to appoint a reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with pupils and staff, making a meaningful contribution to children's learning and development across the school.

This position would suit someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a busy school environment, and is confident supporting pupils of different ages and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting pupils within the classroom to help them access learning

Working with small groups to reinforce key skills in literacy and numeracy

Providing individual support where required, including pastoral support

Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation

Promoting positive behaviour and supporting school routines

Contributing to a calm, structured and engaging learning environment

Experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting

A positive, flexible and proactive approach

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

A genuine interest in supporting children's learning
