Our client is an award-winning manufacturer of luxury lighting, proudly engineering and manufacturing exclusively in the UK. Every product is made in-house, from machining and laser cutting through to finishing, wiring, and final assembly, ensuring exceptional quality and craftsmanship.
They are now looking to recruit a Product Developer to join their small, skilled team of product engineers based in the Midlands.
The Role
This is a hands-on, varied role that covers the full product development lifecycle. You will be responsible for taking products from concept and CAD modelling through to production documentation, packaging, and end-user instructions.
The role offers long-term development potential and may evolve to include management of the CAD department, working closely with teams across the business to implement procedural improvements and support continued growth.
Key Responsibilities include to:
Work on custom orders and production drawing changes
Model machined parts, components, and sheet metal fabrications using SolidWorks
Produce detailed dimensioned part drawings, assemblies and configurations
Create exploded views and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support assembly
Develop clear user instructions and diagrams alongside packaging solutions
Source components and liaise with suppliers
