Job Description

This is a career-defining opportunity for a Senior Architect to help shape the future of UK infrastructure and public realm design.

Join a multidisciplinary practice where architecture plays a central role in delivering people-focused, sustainable environments—ranging from major transport interchanges and civic buildings to integrated infrastructure for energy, water, and transport networks.

The studio is committed to the power of design to connect communities, enhance wellbeing, and embed sustainability at the core of large-scale infrastructure. You’ll operate at both strategic and detailed levels—developing visionary frameworks, leading interdisciplinary design coordination, and delivering exceptional architecture in some of the UK’s most complex urban and environmental contexts. This is your opportunity to advance your career with real purpose.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead architectural design and strategy across a wide range of infrastructure and civic projects, including transport, energy, and urban regeneration schemes
  • Shape innovative public realm and civic architecture at both macro and detailed scales
  • Manage projects through all RIBA work stages, from concept design through to technical delivery and construction
  • Collaborate closely with landscape architects, engineers, and environmental specialists in an integrated design process
  • Represent the practice in client meetings, stakeholder workshops, and public consultations
  • Mentor and support junior architects, contributing to a collaborative and knowledge-sharing studio culture

  • Skills & Experience:
  • ARB-registered Architect with a minimum of 5+ years post-qualification experience
  • Proven ability to deliver architectural solutions within complex, multidisciplinary environments
  • Strong design and graphic communication skills, with the ability to develop and present architectural narratives
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D tools such as Rhino, Enscape, or SketchUp
  • Confident managing technical design, construction packages, and coordination with consultants
  • Experience engaging directly with clients, local authorities, and community stakeholders

  • Culture & Benefits:
  • Work on high-profile projects that deliver meaningful social, civic, and environmental outcomes
  • Join a collaborative, design-led studio that values creativity, rigour, and public benefit
  • Flexible hybrid working arrangements to support work-life balance
  • Generous holiday entitlement, enhanced pension scheme, and cycle-to-work initiative
  • Structured CPD programme with opportunities to progress into leadership roles
  • Friendly, inclusive team with regular design reviews, studio events, and cross-disciplinary collaboration
