The Opportunity Ford & Stanley are proud to be partnering with a leading rail specialist in Derby to appoint a proactive Quality Engineer. This is a rare "blank canvas" opportunity to join an expanding engineering business that is moving from a reactive to a proactive quality culture. Our client has a full order book and is looking for a specialist who wants to put their own stamp on a Quality Management System. If you enjoy the challenge of identifying root causes and developing new processes from scratch to ensure "Right-First-Time" delivery, this is the perfect career move for you.
Responsibilities:
Proactive Quality Management: Identify internal non-conformances early to prevent them from becoming external issues; lead 8D investigations and root-cause analysis.
System Development: Rather than just following existing rules, you will support the business in writing and developing new quality processes as they continue to scale.
Inspection & Assurance: Conduct in-process checks, final inspections, and FAIR reviews, ensuring all engineering drawings and tolerances are strictly adhered to.
Competence Oversight: Provide assurance that all work executed across the client’s operational sites is done so by competent personnel in accordance with specified standards.
