A well-established engineering manufacturer is currently recruiting for a Quality Inspector with a strong background in the automotive industry. Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Quality, Production and New Projects Departments, ensuring that all products meet or exceed customer expectations.

As Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for defining and executing Quality Engineering activities aligned with the company’s Quality Policy and Objectives, working to achieve and maintain ISO 9001:2015 standards. The role of Quality Inspector is offered as a temporary to permanent contract and immediate start available.

Quality Inspector duties would include:

* Internal Auditing to ISO 9001/ 14001 standards

* Managing Internal & External Quality concerns using 8D and other problem-solving techniques. (Including Liaison with Customers)

* Supporting the Company with Continuous Improvements

* Reading / Understanding First & Third angle projection drawings

* Able to use all conventional measuring equipment (i.e. Height Gauge, Vernier, Micrometer, Protractor etc.)

* Maintain the Calibration System of Internal and External Measuring Equipment

* Operating and basic programming of Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)

* Raising and maintaining quality documentation including Control Plans, Process Flow Charts, FMEA’s, R & R Studies and PSW / PPAP
