About the Role\n We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with rail sector experience to join our team based in Coventry with an immediate start available.\n This role will support the commercial management of rail infrastructure projects, ensuring effective cost control, contract administration, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and within budget.\n Key Responsibilities\n \nManage the commercial aspects of rail projects from pre-construction through to final account \nPrepare and manage cost forecasts, budgets, and financial reports \nAssess, negotiate, and agree subcontractor valuations and variations \nPrepare and submit applications for payment and client valuations \nMonitor project costs and identify risks and opportunities \nManage change control and variations in line with contract requirements \nAssist with procurement and subcontractor management \nSupport project teams with commercial advice and reporting Requirements\n \nProven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the rail sector \nStrong knowledge of commercial management and cost control on infrastructure projects \nExperience managing subcontractors, variations, and valuations \nGood understanding of standard forms of contract \nStrong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills \nProficiency in Excel and commercial reporting tools Desirable\n \nExperience working on major UK rail infrastructure projects \nDegree or qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline \nMembership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) Rate\n £350 - £425 per day, depending on experience.\n How to Apply\n If you have the rail sector experience we are looking for and are available to start immediately in Coventry, we would like to hear from you.\n Please submit your CV and availability for consideration
