I'm recruiting on behalf of a well-established Groundworks Sub-Contractor who are seeking an experienced Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a major commercial development project in Bridgwater. This is a fantastic opportunity for a QS with a solid groundwork or civils background to take ownership of key commercial responsibilities on a high-profile site. Role Overview: You’ll be site-based, working closely with the operations and commercial teams to manage the financial aspects of the project – including valuations, variations, subcontractor management, and reporting. Key Responsibilities: * Managing and administering subcontractor accounts * Preparing valuations and applications for payment * Cost reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management * Identifying and pricing variations and change management * Supporting procurement of materials and subcontractors * Attending site meetings and liaising with project teams * Ensuring compliance with contract terms and commercial procedures Requirements: * 3 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within groundworks or civils * HNC/Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline * Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail * Solid understanding of NEC or JCT contracts * Confident working on site and engaging with delivery teams * Full UK driving licence What’s on Offer: * Competitive salary and benefits package * Site-based role with real responsibility and autonomy * Involvement in a major commercial scheme with long-term scope * Opportunity to progress within a growing subcontractor Interested?
