We are working with an established and expanding mechanical contractor here in London who are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. Operating across large-scale developments throughout London, our client has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical building services installations. Due to continued growth and a strong secured pipeline, they are now looking to appoint a commercially aware and proactive Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in the commercial management of their projects. This position will involve taking commercial ownership of mechanical packages from pre-construction through to final account. You will work closely with Project Managers, engineers, consultants, and site teams to ensure projects are delivered profitably while maintaining strong commercial control. Key Responsibilities Managing the commercial aspects of mechanical packages on residential developments Preparing and managing project budgets, cost plans, and forecasts Procurement and commercial management of subcontractors and suppliers Preparing valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts Managing variations, change control, and contract administration Monitoring project costs and reporting on financial performance Supporting project teams with commercial advice and risk management Liaising with clients, consultants, and internal teams on commercial matters Requirements Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor Experience on residential or mixed-use developments Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes Good cost control, negotiation, and financial reporting skills Strong communication and stakeholder management ability Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Construction What’s on Offer Competitive salary and benefits package Clear progression within a growing contractor Exposure to major London developments Stable pipeline of secured work This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their career within a forward-thinking and stable mechanical contractor.
