Location: Loughborough Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday, 6:00pm - 4:00am (Night Shift) Start Date: Immediate Employment Type: Ongoing work, with optional weekend shifts available
About the Role
Barker Ross are currently recruiting for an experienced Quarry Fitter to join a large, high-output quarry operation just outside Loughborough. This is an ongoing night shift role offering consistent hours and the opportunity for additional weekend work.
Key Responsibilities
Carrying out maintenance, servicing and repairs on large-scale quarry plant and machinery Working on fixed plant including crushers, conveyor systems, and screening equipment Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs to minimise downtime Supporting planned preventative maintenance schedules as well as reactive breakdown work Inspecting and maintaining conveyor systems (rollers, belts, bearings, alignment) Ensuring all work is completed in line with strict health and safety standards Working independently on night shifts within a high-output production environmentRequirements
Proven experience as a Quarry Fitter or Mechanical Fitter within heavy plant, aggregates or similar industries Strong mechanical and fault-finding skills Experience working on conveyors and fixed plant systems Ability to work independently during night shifts Good understanding of health and safety procedures Full UK driving l...
