About the Role:


Our client are looking for a results-driven Real Estate Finance, Credit Analyst with a strong background in financial analysis and credit evaluation to join their growing Real Estate Finance team. In this role, you will work closely with their Business Origination team to evaluate financing requests and underwrite credit applications. You will be instrumental in driving the growth of their financing activities ensuring they back the right deals.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Collate all relevant information that will inform credit and deal evaluation.
  • Conduct financial due diligence including in-depth analysis of data provided by potential customers and assessment of relevant real estate market conditions.
  • Underwrite, draft and review credit applications; perform financial ratio analysis and stress testing; identify key risks and propose mitigants.
  • Support the Business Origination team by contacting clients for updates and financial information to support the credit application process.
  • Produce credit risk reports, financing performance reviews, and trend analysis.
  • Contribute to the refinement of underwriting standards, workflows, and risk assessment methodologies
  • Maintain awareness of macroeconomic trends, property market developments, and competitor activity to inform credit strategy.
  • Support cross-functional working with operations team to ensure processes align with strategic and regulatory goals.


Required Skills & Experience:


  • 2+ years of credit risk experience, preferably in fintech, financing, or investment.
  • Familiarity with UK property-backed financing and associated credit risk evaluation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Product suite, in particular Excel.
  • Strong foundation in credit analysis, financial modelling, and risk assessment.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insight.
  • Comfortable working in a high-growth, data-driven environment.
