Reception Teaching Assistant - Early Years | Haringey (September 2026 Start) Are you a caring and motivated Teaching Assistant with a passion for Early Years education? We are excited to be working with a friendly and inclusive one-form entry primary school in Haringey, who are looking to appoint a committed Reception Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. Role Overview Position: Reception Teaching Assistant (Early Years)Start Date: September 2026Location: Haringey, North LondonHours: 08:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to FridayContract: Full-time, full academic year Key Responsibilities In this role, you will support the class teacher in delivering high-quality early years provision and help create a positive start to school life for all pupils. Your responsibilities will include: Assisting in the delivery of engaging, play-based learning aligned with the EYFS framework Supporting children across all areas of development, including communication, social skills, and early learning Working with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce key skills Helping to maintain a safe, stimulating, and well-organised learning environment Contributing to observations and assessments of children's progress Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting children's emotional wellbeing Providing additional support for pupils with varying needs, including SEN where required Supporting daily routines, classroom organisation, and preparation of resources The Ideal Candidate Will: Have previous experience working within Early Years or a Reception setting Demonstrate a good understanding of the EYFS framework Be warm, patient, and enthusiastic in their approach Show initiative and confidence when supporting learning Work effectively as part of a team Have strong communication skills and a positive attitude About the School This one-form entry primary school in Haringey is known for its inclusive ethos and strong community feel.
