We are currently recruiting for an Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Shepherd’s Bush. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity supporting a pre-verbal child with Autism (ASC) on a 1:1 basis within a reception class.

The Role

Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pre-verbal pupil with ASC
Support communication using AAC strategies (e.g. PECS, Makaton)
Work within the EYFS framework to support learning through play
Liaise with the class teacher, SENCo, and external professionals
Track progress and contribute to EHCP targets
Support emotional regulation, engagement, and independenceThe Ideal Candidate

Experience working in Nursery or Reception settings
Strong understanding of Early Years (EYFS)
Experience supporting children with ASC, particularly pre-verbal pupil
Confident using or willing to learn AAC strategies
Calm, patient, and proactive approach
Relevant Level 2/3 qualification (desirable, not essential)The School
