We're working with a well-established engineering and industrial solutions provider that supplies specialist equipment and systems to critical industries across the UK and internationally.

They're not looking for someone to sit behind a desk managing accounts.

They want a hunter.

Someone who is comfortable opening doors, building trust with technical buyers, and turning opportunities into real revenue.

If you enjoy the challenge of prospecting, influencing decision-makers and closing deals, this role gives you the autonomy and backing to do exactly that.

The Opportunity

This is a field-based business development role focused on identifying, developing and winning new opportunities across industrial, engineering and infrastructure markets.

You'll be working directly with:

Engineers

Procurement teams

Project managers

Senior decision makers

The business already has a strong reputation in its sector. Your job is to turn that reputation into new opportunities and new contracts.

What You'll Be Doing

Proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities across target sectors

Building relationships with technical and commercial stakeholders

Managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close

Conducting site visits, demonstrations and technical discussions with clients

Working closely with internal engineering and commercial teams to develop solutions

Tracking pipeline activity and progressing opportunities through to order

Representing the business at industry events and customer meetings

What We're Looking For

This role suits someone who enjoys the front end of sales.

Someone who is motivated by winning new business, not just maintaining accounts.

You'll likely have experience in:

Field-based technical or industrial sales

Engineering, manufacturing or capital equipment environments

Managing complex B2B sales cycles

Working with technical buyers and procurement teams

Most importantly, you will be:

Commercially driven

Comfortable opening new doors

Confident presenting technical solutions

Self-motivated and disciplined in managing your pipeline
