About Us

Our client arean experienced provider of high-quality supported accommodation, already operating several Ofsted-registered semi-independent (16+) services across London. Theyare now opening our first residential childrens home in Hillingdon a brand-new 3-bed home for children aged 717 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

This is a rare opportunity to joinat the very beginning, playing a key role in shaping the home and leading it through Ofsted registration with full backing from a supportive, established leadership team.

The Role

We are urgently seeking a passionate, driven and experienced Registered Manager who can:

  • Take responsibility for leading our new childrens home through the Ofsted registration process without delay (all policies and documents are already in place).
  • Hold and maintain Ofsted registration as the Registered Manager, ensuring the home operates fully in line with regulations.
  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the home, providing a safe, nurturing and structured environment for children with EBD.
  • Lead, motivate and support a team of residential support workers, embedding a child-centred and therapeutic approach.
  • Develop and monitor care plans and risk assessments that reflect the holistic needs of each young person.
  • Ensure high standards of safeguarding, compliance and quality assurance, meeting and exceeding National Minimum Standards.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, local authorities and external professionals.
  • Manage budgets, staffing and resources efficiently to ensure long-term sustainability of the home.

Requirements

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare(or equivalent essential).
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a childrens residential setting.
  • Strong understanding of EBD, trauma-informed care, safeguarding and regulatory compliance.
  • Track record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible and resilient, able to respond to complex needs and emergency situations.
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred).
