About the role:

We are recruiting for a Registered Manager & Business Development Lead to join a newly launched social care franchise delivering a private, concierge-style membership service.

This is a non-traditional Registered Manager role. While the successful candidate must be registered or eligible to register with CQC, the primary focus of this position is business development, growth, and client acquisition, rather than day-to-day operational management.

This role is suited to someone who is commercially minded, confident in sales, and motivated by building a service from the ground up.

Key Focus of the Role

Approximately 70% business development / 30% Registered Manager & compliance (this may change as the business grows).

Business Development Responsibilities (Primary Focus)

  • Actively generate new business opportunities and clients
  • Promote and sell a membership-based, concierge-style social care service
  • Arrange, attend, and lead meetings with prospective private clients, families, and professional referrers
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within the social care and healthcare sector
  • Support the development and implementation of sales and growth strategies
  • Contribute to short-term and long-term business planning
  • Represent the business in a professional, confident, and credible manner

Registered Manager Responsibilities (Secondary Focus)

  • Register with CQC as the Registered Manager
  • Support CQC registration, inspections, and ongoing compliance
  • Ensure services meet regulatory and quality standards
  • Work closely with the Director on assessments and service delivery
  • Support the development of policies, procedures, and governance frameworks

  • Wants to grow with a business rather than step into a fully established service

Who This Role Is Not For

  • Candidates seeking a traditional operational Registered Manager role
  • Those without business development or sales experience
  • Individuals uncomfortable with commission-based earnings

Essential Requirements

  • Eligibility to register with CQC
  • Demonstrable business development or sales experience
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage own workload
  • Reliable ability to travel to Stratford and Kent as required

DesirableRequirements

  • Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or willingness to complete funding available)
  • Existing contacts within the social care or healthcare sector
  • Driving licence (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience working in a growth-phase or start-up business
