We areseeking a motivated and enthusiastic Salaried GP to join us for four clinicalsessions per week. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician who valuesteamwork, professional development, and high standards of care within afriendly and forward-thinking practice.

Main duties of the job

To workas an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medicalservices to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard ofclinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract. Furthermore, thepost-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice,contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example,maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with themultidisciplinary team.

Ourmultidisciplinary team consists of four GP partners, two salaried GPs, aparamedic practitioner, physician associate, clinical pharmacist, four practicenurses and a healthcare assistant, all supported by an experienced anddedicated management and administrative team.

Job responsibilities

Thedelivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population

Theprovision of services commensurate with the GMS contract

Genericprescribing adhering to local and national guidance

Effectivemanagement of long-term conditions

Processingof administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescriptionrequests and other associated administrative tasks

Undertaketelephone triage and have 1 duty doctor day per week

Maintainaccurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy andguidance

Workingcollaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload

Adhereto best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process

Contributeto the successful implementation of continuous improvement and qualityinitiatives within the practice

Acceptdelegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) or the QOF

Attendand contribute effectively to practice meetings as required

Contributeeffective to the development and maintenance of the practice including;clinical governance, training, financial management and HR

Ensurecompliance with the appraisal process

Prepareand complete the revalidation process

Committo self-learning and instil an ethos of continuing professional developmentacross the practice team

Supportthe training of medical students from all clinical disciplines

Supportthe partners in achieving the strategic aims of the practice, makingrecommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditure

Reviewand adhere to practice protocols and policies at all times

Encouragecollaborative working, liaising with all staff regularly, promoting a cultureof continuous improvement at all times
