Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Sales Manager to lead and expand our presence in the UK FMCG sector, with a particular focus on tomato paste and its derivatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of multi-cultural consumer markets in the UK, including Middle Eastern, international, and mainstream British retail channels. You will play a key role in shaping our sales strategy, pricing structure, and overall market positioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute effective sales and pricing strategies tailored to diverse UK market segments
  • Identify and penetrate key distribution channels, including ethnic markets, wholesalers, and major retailers
  • Build, recruit, and manage a high-performing sales team
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with buyers, distributors, and retail partners
  • Conduct regular field visits to stores, clients, and distribution points to monitor performance and identify growth opportunities
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to drive business growth

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in FMCG sales, ideally within food products such as tomato paste or similar categories
  • Strong knowledge of the UK retail landscape, including ethnic and mainstream markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop pricing strategies and sales plans
  • Experience in building and leading sales teams
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment

Working Structure:

  • Primarily remote (work from home)
  • Weekly in-person meetings (location to be agreed)
  • Regular field visits required across the UK
