Sales Development Representative (Lead Gen Focussed)
Manchester City Centre/Hybrid 3 Days/Week In Office
£30,000–£35,000 base + uncapped OTE
The Opportunity
We’re working with a well-established and growing technology business delivering software and digital solutions into commercial markets, particularly across eCommerce and security-focused environments.
With a strong product offering and established client base, the business is now investing further into its commercial function and looking to hire a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to drive new business opportunities.
This is a role for someone who is motivated by activity, consistency, and results, with a clear pathway into a closing or leadership position over time.
The Role
This is a high-activity, outbound-focused role sitting at the front of the sales process.
You’ll be responsible for identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospects, generating new opportunities, and booking meetings for senior stakeholders.
Success in this role is driven by volume, consistency, and quality of outreach. You should be comfortable operating in a structured, target-driven environment with clear daily activity expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities through consistent outbound prospecting
- Carry out high-volume activity across calls, email, and LinkedIn
- Identify and engage decision-makers within target accounts
- Qualify opportunities and book meetings for senior sales team members
- Build and manage a healthy pipeline of qualified leads
- Work closely with marketing to maximise inbound and campaign activity
- Maintain accurate CRM records and track performance against targets
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in an SDR / BDR / lead generation role
- Proven outbound prospecting experience (cold calling essential)
- Comfortable operating in a high-volume, target-driven environment
- Resilient, consistent, and motivated by hitting and exceeding activity and performance targets
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging senior stakeholders
Backgrounds considered:
- eCommerce / retail technology
- Cybersecurity / IT solutions
- POS / ePOS systems
- SaaS / software sales
- Wider business software environments
